Greatest Ever? Warriors Beat Cavaliers to Move One Win From Perfection

Posted June 12, 2017

The only chance the Cavs have to even win a game, is if LeBron James and Kyrie Irving take over with their driving and finishing.

This game wasn't just about LeBron and KD though.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr said that Durant has played with objective throughout the series. He reminded Twitter of his take on Wednesday night.

But it's the one they had to have, and a series that wasn't living up to its hype and seemed headed for a quick conclusion is California bound for game five on Monday night (Tuesday AEST).

And the hottest take of the night might have actually been a hack.

CLEVELAND (AP) - LeBron James and Kyrie Irving couldn't be stopped. The tweet was quickly deleted and Smith later denied that he wrote it, telling "I'm smarter than that".

Average points he scored in all three games of the NBA Finals. Jordan's first title team in 1991 is one of three squads that went 15-2. With dominating players like Kevin Durant, Steph Curry and Draymond Green, Golden State will likely be a top team for seasons to come.

Added to the fact that he joined a Warriors team that won the National Basketball Association title in 2015 and followed that up by winning a record 73 games last season before falling to Cleveland in seven games, Durant was considered a villain by many.

"It's part of the rules", James said Thursday, hours after the Cavs fell 118-113 to slip into a 3-0 hole.

Curry's offensive partner, eight-time NBA All-Star Kevin Durant, also spoke ahead of Game 4, urging his team to stay focused.

The win moved Durant one win from the title he sought when he left Oklahoma City for the Warriors last July, one he failed to get in 2012 when his Thunder lost to Miami and James won his first career crown with the Heat.

Cleveland had looked like they might prevail when they led by six points with three minutes to play but Durant led the Warriors on an impressive 11-0 run to close out the game.

Cleveland was led by James with 39 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists. In the postseason, Golden State has outscored its opponents by 227 points when Green has been on the court, giving him the second-best plus/minus on the team, behind Stephen Curry (plus 267). "We want to get good shots". I've played against some great teams, but I don't think any other team has had this type of firepower.

If the Warriors sweep the Cavs, they'll make history for their undefeated playoff run.

Showing off his ability to spin in shots high off the backboard, Irving scored 16 in the third quarter and the Cavs held the Warriors to 22 points in their lowest scoring output in any quarter in this postseason.
