Green stays in Game 4 after technical foul fiasco

Posted June 12, 2017

Upon immediate review from the officials, the technical foul was still on Green, but showed that his first technical foul from the first half was indeed given to head coach Steve Kerr, not Green.

This isn't the first time Green has called out Cavaliers fans. Thus, Green was not tossed from the game.

Goble: "After calling the loose ball foul on Draymond Green, I noticed the reaction by Coach Kerr and then assessed the technical foul".

"We have to be 20 times better in this building", said James, who has won at least one road game in 29 straight postseason series. "I take full responsibility for that".

"I thought I deserved it", Kerr said.

"When we were there past year I think I looked at him and said: 'Let's just never do this again".

Green appeared to be ejected when he was called for what the Cavs and Warriors thought was his second technical midway through the third quarter. And so, when the second one was announced, a crowd already in a celebratory mood inside Quicken Loans Arena thanks to a scintillating offensive performance from the Cavaliers realized what was happening and erupted in celebration.

Warriors star Kevin Durant and Cavaliers star LeBron James were each charged with technical fouls with 7:26 left in the third quarter after jawing with each other near the scorer's table during a break in play. "It's insane to think that he thought that was my second technical foul and I would get a technical foul for that, but whatever". No explanation was given about the play by the officials to the pool reporter after the game. "I don't know. That was pretty bad". "So if they didn't call it (ejecting Pachulia), then I guess it wasn't anything".

His technicals - the one called and the one that wasn't - overshadowed his shooting and rebounding.

And in the second quarter, little-used reserve Dahntay Jones from the bench for jawing with Durant.

"Ain't no tech going to stop me from being me", he said. "He comes to me and is saying something disrespectful. Like I said, I think because of experience". That's cool. That's fine. Babers-Green was seen being held back by a friend of Green's.

For the rest of the game, Cavs fans heckled Draymond continuously.

"We can't take any nonsense".

"Hopefully we can come back here". "But you got to give them credit, they played extremely well tonight". We got to have a little chip on our shoulders. "But the biggest thing was that they brought a level of physicality that we didn't match".
