Here is Justin Bieber's New Single "Friends", His 2017 Answer to "Sorry"

Posted August 18, 2017

"Friends" is clearly a catchy tune about a break-up with lyrics like, "No, we didn't end this so good / But you know we had something so good", and "So I'm wondering, can we still be friends?".

OK, it's not officially a sequel, but c'mon: It's nearly impossible to listen to Justin Bieber's new single, the BloodPop collab "Friends", without flashing back to "Sorry" - Biebs' previous smash with BloodPop behind the decks, similarly co-written with Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter, and another super-fun statement of post-breakup humility.

"New music. Thursday noon", the 23-year-old captioned artwork of the new single on Instagram.

This is another collaboration with producer and composer BloodPop. "And if it ends, can we be friends?". The beat and production however are made to fill up the dance floor. Also, co-writer Julia Michaels returned for this new dance driven song. Catchy and relatable, we approve.

Longtime friends, the duo first collaborated in 2015 for Bieber's triple-platinum three-time GRAMMY® Award-nominated album objective. The pop superstar links up with BloodPop for his next hit, "Friends".
