Get ready to witness an epic new show with Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist finally all coming together!

Marvel's The Defenders will hit Netflix in its entirety on August 18, and today, each character's Twitter account posted a new The Defenders promo and a character clip with a defining list of descriptors You can check them all out below. Luke Cage will be in prison at the beginning, but as the show goes on, it will address the relationship between Luke and Jessica Jones. The trailer is all about Sigourney Weaver's mysterious villain Alexandra, who promises to rain hell down on the newly formed foursome. Even Iron Fist - the one genuine dud among the previous shows - benefits from his interplay with the others, particularly the hard-as-rock Cage, who discovers what happens (in slow motion, naturally) when Iron Fist meets immovable object. The reluctance of Jones and the others to formally come together, and then endlessly bickering when they do, is actually a nice nod to the very different origins of The Defenders in the comics.
