Tropical Storm Nate is moving toward the northwest near 9 miles per hour. A cold front clears the peninsula on Thursday and puts us back to more seasonable highs in the low 70s. Calm wind becoming west northwest around 6 miles per hour in the afternoon. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 47. Through the afternoon there will be about a 10 percent chance of isolated showers for the area.

MONDAY: Mostly cloudy skies and scattered rain chances continue, with a high of 78 degrees. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82.

The showers should move through the area quickly, though, with skies clearing to partly sunny. Overnight lows will slide into the lower 50s. Low: 55. High: 80. West wind 5 to 10 miles per hour becoming light and variable.

Saturday, Oct. 7 - Sunny, with a high near 93. North wind 7 to 13 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 20 miles per hour. A few showers are possible but nothing widespread is expected.

The best chance for some steady rain will be on Monday or Tuesday as the remnants of Tropical Storm Nate head in our direction.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear skies and cool temperatures continue, with a low of 59 degrees. Overnight lows will range from the upper 30s to mid 40s inland up to 45-50 near the shore.
