Homes Burn in Raging Wildfire in Anaheim Hills

More than 1,000 firefighters from across the state were battling the Canyon Fire 2 in Orange County, which has now scorched 7,500 acres and is 25 percent contained.

The evacuation zone was primarily for residences in the wildland-urban interface south of the 91 Freeway and east of the 241.

The eastbound lanes of the 91 Freeway are now closed, along with both sides of the 241 Freeway south of the 91.

Governor Jerry Brown has declared a state of emergency due to the Canyon Fire and Anaheim Hills wildfires that are now burning thousands of acres of land and have caused millions of dollars in damages to local communities.
