Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Are Injustice 2 DLC

Posted November 12, 2017

Turns out the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are joining Injustice 2's cast of DC comic heroes.

NetherRealm Studios revealed the full contents of Injustice 2's final Fighter Pack DLC today, and it had some surprises.

The Atom will be out in early access - included with the pre-purchased pack or "Ultimate Edition" versions of Injustice 2 - on December 12, with the other fighters to be released not long after.

Improving on its predecessor, Injustice: Gods Among Us, Injustice 2 has always put a big emphasis on the diversity of its roster as it steadily continues to expand.

Only time will tell if the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will make a viable pick in this game and actually present a challenge for top tier characters in the game or if their addition was just pure fan service for all the gamers who grew up with this iconic group of sewer dwellers. With a number of promised characters - including some from Watchmen - still MIA, many fans expected the announcement to reveal one of those additions, only for Michelangelo to be revealed as the one wearing the trenchcoat at the end of the trailer before being joined by Leonardo, Donatello, and Raphael.

If you haven't seen the original reveal yet, the previous trailer can be seen here.

Going by the video, the turtles will be fighting as a team, which means all four will be controlled as one.

Although not as popular as the Turtles, Atom and the Enchantress are decent choices as well.

The new fighters won't be available immediately on launch of the PC version. The new fighters will be available on all platforms, including the PC version of Injustice 2, out on November 14.
