Leak reveals OnePlus 5T ahead of November 16th announcement

Posted November 13, 2017

Under the hood, there is said to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core chipset paired with Adreno 540 GPU for graphics.

With such a large display on the front, it's evident that the fingerprint reader has moved to the back (just like the Oppo R11s).

According to the ZDNet Germany leak, the aforementioned 6-inch AMOLED display of the OnePlus 5T carries a 1080 x 2160 resolution at 401 pixels per inch with an 18:9 aspect ratio.

As you can see from the pictures, the OnePlus 5T is essentially looking like any other smartphone with narrow bezels these days. The major news is that the phone will be running Android 7.1.1 Nougat (nope, no sign of Oreo yet), and has very small bezels thanks to the disappearance of the front home button (it's now on the reverse). While the launch is still a little less than a week away, we now know nearly everything we need to about it. Of course, the biggest upgrade to the OnePlus 5T will be the display.

Additionally, OnePlus 5T smartphone offers 3,300 mAh of battery which offers great battery life. Sensors on the OnePlus 5T include: Fingerprint, Hall, Accelerometer, G-sensor, Electronic Compass, Gyroscope, Proximity, Ambient Light Sensor, RGB, and Sensor Hub. The 6GB RAM variant could come with 64GB inbuilt storage, while the 8GB RAM variant could feature 128GB storage. The front camera can record videos of 1080p quality at 30fps.

Well known vlogger and unboxed, Karl Conrad receieved a OnePlus 5T reviewer pack in the mail and apparently no one told him he was under an embargo (or it was unclear) as he has revealed the phone on his YouTube channel. The OnePlus 5 is already that for me and now with a refreshed design it has seemingly only gotten better (OnePlus have my address if they want me to be able to inform you first hand). The secondary rear camera will come with a 20MP Sony IMX376K camera sensor with f/1.7 aperture and dual LED flash.

The OnePlus 5T is also confirmed to have a headphone jack, which is a port is being pulled out from current flagship smartphones. Now you have On-screen navigational support. The reports say that, the OnePlus 5T smartphone will start its selling from November 21st starting from European and North American markets. The phone will sport bottom facing stereo speaker like we saw on the OnePlus 5.

Let us hope that OnePlus 5T does not disappoint the masses.
