Samsung updates its Notebook 9 ultrabooks with even bigger batteries

Samsung has announced the launch of two new Windows 10 laptops in Korea. The devices are said to be relying upon Intel's eight-generation Core i7 processors along with integrated graphics. The 15-inch models will however, be coming with Nvidia GeForce MX150 GPU. It is also expected to support fast charging. There is a USB Type-C port, a USB 3.0 port, an HDMI port, and a fingerprint sensor as well. Both the Samsung Notebook 9 Pen and Notebook 9 will be available in the United States in early 2018, and we're expecting to get a closer look at them at CES next month. Samsung hasn't revealed pricing yet, but the company should share more info on that at CES 2018.

One of the products that Samsung is known for would be its Galaxy Note series of Android handsets which would come with an accompanying stylus, the S Pen, which when coupled with software on the phone allowed it to do more than just a regular stylus.

It thus makes flawless sense for the Samsung Notebook 9 Pen and Notebook 9 (2018) to be unveiled today ahead of commercial launches in Korea later this same month, followed by U.S. expansions in the first quarter of the new year. It's a 2-in-1 PC that comes with the same Metal12 chassis that's on the Notebook 9 (2018).

The Notebook 9 Pen comes with a 13.3-inch RealViewTouch full HD 1080 display. Much like Lenovo's Yoga tablets, Samsung's Notebook 9 Pen will flip around into various modes for tablet or drawing use.
