Prince Harry, Meghan Markle set royal wedding date

Britain's Prince Harry and United States actress Meghan Markle will marry on May 19 at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle near London, Kensington Palace said on Friday.

Meghan has made history considering she is a divorcee, which is controversial for the royals and a racially mixed person - the first one ever to marry into the blue-blooded family. The palace revealed that Markle has met them on many occasions.

But the security costs for the high profile celebration will fall to the taxpayer.

William is the president of the Football Association - the group in charge of English football - and he normally goes to the match and awards the trophy to the winning side.

The FA have confirmed the final will not be moved to another date and Kensington Palace say they will factor in the game as part of their wedding planning.

According to Vanity Fair, Harry was typically upbeat when it came to discussing the special treatment that Markle has received, both from his famous grandma the Queen and from her beloved corgis. Markle is an American actress best known for her role on the television series "Suits".

"The point is that our society is one of mixed heritage and it's nice to see Meghan within the Royal family".
