The big story for today is the snow showers.We have a Winter Weather Advisory for most of central IN until 4am Saturday morning. Snow began around 2pm and has continued to fill in and become heavier. There is possibility of 1-3 inches of snow in the Stafford-LBI area. With wind chills, it'll feel around 5 to 10 degrees below zero.
Road conditions could be slippery and visibility could also be reduced at times. The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Ford and Iroquois counties from 12 p.m. Friday until 12 a.m. Saturday. Accumulating snow is expected for the final weekend of the year. The heavier amounts will likely be focused on the US 30 and Interstate 80 corridors, where snowfall rates of an inch or more per hour will lead to rapid accumulation and very poor visibility for the evening commute.
