'Home and Away' Actress Jess Falkholt Passes Away

Home and Away actor Jessica Falkholt remains in a critical condition today, a hospital spokeswoman has confirmed, weeks after a Boxing Day vehicle crash that killed her sister and parents.

Jessica underwent a number of surgeries, including having one of her kidneys and part of her skull removed, but remained in a coma.

Channel 7 reporter Samantha Brett wrote on Twitter, "Heartbreaking as life support for Jessica Falkholt is turned off a day after her family was farewelled".

On Friday morning, NSW Police said there had been no official update on Jessica's condition, which was last listed as "critical".

The actor was critically injured in the New South Wales crash, which killed her parents Lars, 69, and Vivian, 60.

"Rest in peace, attractive Jessica Falkholt", it said.

Falkholt's family were laid to rest after a funeral at St Mary's Catholic Church in Concord on Wednesday.

In a funeral notice, Lars, Vivian and Annabelle were described as a "dearly loved and cherished father, mother and sister to Jessica".

The tragic conclusion to the horror story comes after friends and family refused to give up hope for her recovery.
