Believe it or not, Penn State was a small favorite over No. 8 Ohio State ahead of tipoff on Thursday night.

But we're not here to talk about football.

One difference Penn State gets to see in these Buckeyes is a renewed clamp on defense.

Ohio State has won four straight heading into its game at Penn State on Thursday night.

The Nittany Lions had a 24-point halftime advantage and grew it to 30, 51-21, before Ohio State made a 16-4 run to cut the lead to 55-37. The Buckeyes haven't lost yet in a true road game, and none will be more hard than the one they just won at Purdue last week. Against Penn State, the All-American candidate was held to 10 points on 4-of-11 shooting from the field, his third-lowest point total of the season. Lunardi has Penn State as the sixth team outside of the bracket at the moment, behind Nebraska, Washington, Syracuse, Baylor and Boise State. The Nittany Lions don't have a quality non-conference win on their resume, but caught many people by surprise when they upset then-No.

Who are you picking to win?

Penn State visits No. 6 Purdue on Sunday. He also contributes 10.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. Micah Potter was the top rebounder for Ohio State with six. The Buckeyes will gladly welcome back one of their best three-point shooters, as Williams has hit over 46 percent of his shots from deep this season.

The victory marks the first ever 19-win season for coach Patrick Chambers, and was the seventh win in eight games for the Nittany Lions. Andre Wesson, thrust into the starting lineup after the suspension of Kam Williams, has been a defensive spark for an Ohio State team already strong on that end of the floor.

The Hokies went on to load the bases in the next frame, but the Nittany Lions got out of the jam and the game remained 5-3. With athletic director Sandy Barbour saying a month prior that Chambers' job would be evaluated on how Penn State did in conference play, this turnaround has given the program life, something that hasn't always been easy to find during Chambers' six previous seasons at Penn State.
