This new content includes an Encore Mode with remixed stages and four-player Competition Mode. One of those projects was Sonic Mania Plus, a definitive physical edition of last year's critically acclaimed 2D Sonic game. If you already purchased Sonic Mania the additional content will be available as DLC, no word yet on the pricing. SEGA is looking to add another new installment but is unwilling to share details now. Sonic Mania Plus is expected to release this summer. Additionally, Mania Plus will offer two new playable characters who are nods to old-school fans familiar with 1993's SegaSonic the Hedgehog: Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Flying Squirrel. The Sega will have a boxed version of the game which includes a 32-page art book, holographic cover, a reversible cover of Genesis-style. This kart racing video game came out in 2010 and featured characters from the SEGA franchises.
