Fortnite Battle Royale is game on for iOS users

Teachers are complaining of students who download Fortnite for iOS being distracted and distracting others from class, and while we can't endorse distracting yourself from your studies, it just goes to show how easy it is to download Fortnite for iOS and get totally engrossed in a battle royale experience that's easy to pick up and hard to put down.

"If you are on an Android device, please [go to the Fortnite website and] click "Get Started" to sign up".

Now, Epic Games have confirmed the game is open to all devices that run it.

Once again, Epic Games announced a new feature through the in-game news section.

According to the developer, the game will not support the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, iPad Air, iPad Mini 3 and all earlier devices, as well as all models of iPod touch.

"Fortnite is the same 100-player game you know from PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac". Basically, gamers on the mobile version can actually play against those on more powerful platforms.

The weapons are a bit on the Science Fiction side, the sniper rifle is more precise and the game does not take itself as seriously as it should, thus being more fun and with incredibly customizable characters.

"We believe this is the future of games".

Invites were served on the first come first basis, yet there were many who couldn't get one. The screenshot below indicates that the Vending Machine is coming soon, and will allow you to "Trade in spare materials for extra gear!", which sounds like that wood-in-exchange-for-weapons system will be a go when it officially launches. Players can purchase cosmetics to look spectacular while they play - the main moneymaker for this free game.
