Donte DiVincenzo's Twitter history came to light after his unforgettable performance off the bench for Villanova Monday night.

DiVincenzo who is nicknamed 'The Big Ragu' broke quite a few records as he helped Villanova clinch the 2018 NCAA Championship.

The Wildcats offered an emphatic answer with Monday night's win against MI, the finale for a dominating run through the NCAA Tournament that earned coach Jay Wright his second title and capped the 2017-18 college basketball season.

There have been bumps on the road, such as NCAA second-round disappointments as a 1 or a 2 seed three times in the last five years.

"John Beilein is one of the greatest coaches of all time", Wright said. "We played you the best we could, and tonight, you were better than us'".

"We're not going to call ourselves that, but if people (in the media) say it, then we are getting there", Wright said. The Wildcats will be competing for national titles for as long as he is there.

MI was led by Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman's 23 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the floor.

"My teammates were just finding me early", DiVincenzo said to Westwood One. We got into a lot. The only thing that could surprise me with Beilein would be if he doesn't eventually win a National Championship. I thought we did get some open shots.

"Even if we had played our best", Beilein added, "it would have been very hard to win that game with what DiVincenzo did. And we're just always going to remember each other and being part of this team".

Villanova became the first team since the 2005 Tar Heels to lead the nation in scoring and win the National Championship.

There was plenty of trash talk in the Nets' locker room throughout March Madness - even head coach Kenny Atkinson got involved as he openly rooted against Kansas.

"I've seen him take those shots in practice all the time", Villanova freshman Collin Gillespie said.

Matthews, Michigan's second-leading scorer, managed only six points on 3-for-9 shooting and committed five turnovers. "There's a process that young men have to go through in their maturation in this game, and he's done that, and what a special player". But after it was pointed out that a 2018 hack does not impact the existence of a 2011 tweet, Villanova retracted its statement.

In this title gamer, on a team with AP player of the year Jalen Brunson and potential National Basketball Association lottery pick Mikal Bridges, DiVincenzo was the go-to guy.

DiVincenzo said adjusting to coming off the bench early this season was not easy at first. Now?

DiVincenzo, a 6-foot-5 guard and conference Sixth Man of the Year, averaged 13.4 points on 48.1 percent shooting and 40.1 percent from 3-point range this past season. "If I was starting this year and we made a change in the midway through the year or something like that, it would have messed up what we had".
