Bill Cosby's Rape Accuser Denies Making Up Claims

Phone records show Constand, the former director of women's basketball operations at Temple University, made brief calls to Cosby around the time of a Temple home game on February 14, 2004, the month after the alleged assault.

"I was weak, I was limp and I couldn't fight him off", she said.

Prosecutors said Cosby sexually assaulted Andrea Constand at his Montgomery County home in 2004.

While interviewing Cosby in 2005, Schaffer said Cosby told him he gave Cosntand Benadryl and that the contact between them was consensual.

A judge blocked Jackson from testifying at last year's trial, which ended in a hung jury, after Constand took the stand and denied knowing her. Judge Steven T. O'Neill allowed certain evidence about the settlement to be used at retrial, but it was not used during the 2017 trial. "And I don't feel her say anything", Cosby said.

Jurors at the comedian's sexual assault retrial are hearing portions of a deposition he gave in 2005 as part of a civil lawsuit filed by his chief accuser.

Ms Constand told the court that she does not know Marguerite Jackson - a woman who the defence plan to call as a witness as part of their attempt to discredit her.

She reached a $3.38 million private settlement with Cosby in 2006 after several Jane Doe witnesses lined up to testify about their own, allegedly similar assaults. "It just became work, which is why I was happy when she found the masseuse thing and went back to Canada".

"You and your husband raised them to be good girls", Bliss asked her.

On Monday, Constand testified she did not "recall ever having a conversation with" Jackson.

In the deposition, Cosby graphically described a sexual encounter he says he and Constand once had.

The comments came on the second day of testimony for Constand, the former Temple University employee who testified that Cosby acted as a mentor to her, gained her trust, and then drugged and sexually assaulted her in 2004.

"I didn't say it verbally".

"He said to me, 'Don't worry, Mom, there was no penile penetration, '" Gianna Constand testified.

(AP Photo/Matt Rourke, Pool)[/caption] Defense lawyers questioning Bill Cosby accuser Andrea Constand spent part of Monday zeroing in on her financial situation, in an apparent effort to make economic self-interest more central to the case than during Cosby's initial trial previous year. The defense said she spent late nights at the comedian's home, drove four hours to see him at a casino and called him twice on Valentine's Day, about a month after the alleged assault.

"We were talking about sleep, and her stress", Bill said in the 2005 transcripts.

Constand recorded the phone call with Cosby but he started being more cautious with his words from then on.

Picking up where he left off Friday, Mesereau questioned Constand about inconsistencies in her police statements and prior testimony.

He said Constand ultimately rejected his advances when they moved to another room and he began to kiss her breasts, according to the deposition.

Mesereau was trying to portray Constand to jurors as the aggressor, suggesting she pursued Cosby for a romantic relationship and preyed on the loneliness he felt after the 1997 killing of his son, Ennis, even though such activity may have been barred by her employment.

She was a manager of the Temple University women's basketball program at the time while Cosby was a respected trustee and the school's most famous former student.

The Associated Press does not typically identify people who say they are victims of sexual assault unless they grant permission, which Constand and the other women have done.
