This is likely a phased rollout so Oreo for Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge will certainly not be rolled out in all markets simultaneously.

As first shared by folks on Reddit, it looks like both handsets are now being updated to Android 8.0 Oreo via an over-the-air (OTA) software update. Builds G930FXXU2ERD5 and G935FXXU2ERD5 are rolling out to the S7 and S7 Edge respectively, and it's now only available through an OTA. It's an update to the Android 8.0-based EMUI 8.0, which is a tad disappointing, as you'd expect a heavily marketed device like the Honor 7X to be receiving Android 8.1 by now.

The update is available for United Kingdom users with unlocked smartphones, as well as those users who are on Vodafone.

Android Oreo, or Android 8, brings a number of new features to the phone, including the aforementioned ability to watch picture-in-picture, better battery management, notification dots and support for new emoji too. More variants should follow suit very soon, and when that happens, we'll update this article accordingly. If we want to get technical, Samsung's update server confirms that the update is rolling out for region BTU and model numbers SM-G930F and SM-G935F.
