Daniels payment: Unapologetic Trump says he didn't change story; calls charges 'crap'

President Donald Trump on Friday disputed comments repeatedly made this week by his new personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, suggesting the president is questioning some of Giuliani's detailed disclosures that Trump paid hush money to porn actress Stormy Daniels.

Giuliani, who was recently installed as President Donald Trump's new personal lawyer, appeared on ABC's This Week on Sunday discussing the Stormy Daniels allegations and the ongoing Russian Federation investigation.

Cohen had denied that Trump ever reimbursed him for that payment, and the president had denied knowing about the deal his lawyer cut with Daniels. Giuliani told Costa he had not been informed of the wiretaps.

"That money was not campaign money, sorry".

Said former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie: "You know, there's an old saying in the law, 'Hang a lantern on your problems.'. Money from the campaign, or campaign contributions, played no roll [sic] in this transaction". The President said that he would view any investigation into his finances as "a violation". Melania Trump (Cecily Strong, in the first lady's distinctive white hat from last month's French state dinner) queried Cohen about the legality of a wife testifying against her lawbreaking husband.

Mr Trump on Friday said his new lawyer had made a mistake because he was new to the job and would "get his facts straight" before adding that he was "not changing any stories" with regard to Ms Daniels.

Giuliani released a statement Friday trying to clarify his statements on the matter, saying his "references to timing were not describing my understanding of the president's knowledge, but instead, my understanding of these matters".

He made his second point in reference to his statement on Hannity's show, in which he said, "Imagine if [the Daniels affair] came out on October 15, 2016 in the middle of the last debate with Hillary Clinton". "Rudy is a great guy be just started a day ago". He's learning the subject matter. But he added that the investigation is a witch hunt being run by Democrats, and his lawyers will not let him.

"Yeah, right", Baldwin's trump says. "They're nearly there", he told the New York Post. "President Trump's payment to Mr. Cohen was not for legal services", Cummings wrote.

When asked last month aboard Air Force One if Trump knew about the payment to Stormy Daniels, the president said no.

Sanders said Thursday that Trump "eventually learned" about the payment, but she did not offer details.

The secret $130,000 payment was made on the eve the hotly contested 2016 USA presidential election to silence Daniel's claims of a decade-old affair with Trump. She sued Trump and Cohen earlier this year, claiming that the hush agreement was invalid because Trump did not sign it. She uses that platform to pander to his staunchest supporters and lash his enemies while often addressing herself directly to Trump. After a Twitter troll told her that she's a "liar" and "we know your f***ed Cohen not Trump", she epically clapped back, "Hahaha!"
