The Big Mac-aholic has also kept close tabs on his own stats over the years, estimating that it took him just 356 days to eat his first 1000 Big Macs - which clocks in at more than two per day.

How many Big Macs you might ask?

But it's not just eating Big Macs that Don loves - he's passionate about everything surrounding them too.

In fact, when Gorske ate his 20,000th Big Mac on July 19, 2004, he told us thirty thousand "isn't that far off".

An American man has eaten his 30,000th Big Mac this week, in the same McDonald's restaurant where he first tasted the sandwich in back in 1972.

On Friday, a man from Fond du Lac, in Wisconsin, downed his 30,000 Big Mac, smashing the previous world record. He said he thought he had a big mac saved in the freezer but was mistaken.

He continued: "People make fun of me, but it never bothered me", Gorske said.

When McDonald's debuted the Grand Mac and Big Mac Jr. sandwiches a year ago, Gorske handed out bottles of Big Mac sauce to the lucky first customers at a McDonald's restaurant in Wauwatosa. He says his cholesterol and blood pressure are normal.

Don Gorske, star of 2005 film 'Don Gorske: Mac Daddy', reached his historic milestone on Friday at the same branch in which he tried his first Big Mac in 1972.

Gorske has appeared in numerous television shows including Rachel Ray Show, Oprah, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Inside Edition, and Lopez Tonight. He has enjoyed an average of two sandwiches almost every day since that magical day.

But it's an absurd number of Big Macs.

Before he left the restaurant, Gorske purchased another Big Mac to eat once he got home.

"Maybe I'll be eating it when I catch myself on the news", he said and smiled.
