Gaza boats will attempt to break Israel Navy siege on Tuesday

Avigdor Liberman said in a statement that the barrier aimed to prevent any attempts by Palestinians in Gaza to enter Israeli territory through the sea, Efe news reported. A spokesperson for the Iran-backed terrorist group confirmed the men were members of its military arm.

"IDF troops detonated an explosive device that was placed adjacent to the security fence in the southern Gaza Strip yesterday, with the intention of harming IDF soldiers who were present in the area", an army statement said.

Speaking at the weekly Cabinet meeting on Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel would not "tolerate attacks against us from the Gaza Strip". Armed with automatic weapons, fragmentation grenades and several types of explosive devices, they were engaged and killed by the IDF in a combined attack from the sea, ground and air. No injuries were reported in the incident.

An attack targeting an observation post on Sunday killed at least three people, including two fighters from the Islamic Jihad movement.

The incident occurred in the morning in a continuation of the violent Hamas-led "March of Return" protests that began March 30 at the security fence separating Israel from the Gaza Strip.

Dozens of burning kites were flown from Gaza across the border over the weekend, sparking several fires in Israeli fields, Hadashot TV news reported Saturday night. Over 10,000 Gazans took part in the demonstrations in the course of Friday and Saturday, the army said.

Israeli authorities are also constructing an underground barrier beneath the Gaza-Israel boundary to stop Hamas from digging tunnels into Israeli territory.

The demonstrations came to a head on May 14 when the United States moved its embassy to Jerusalem and at least 60 Palestinians were killed in clashes - nearly all of them Hamas members, the terror group has acknowledged.
