Spurs Reportedly Want Essentially the Entire Lakers Core for Kawhi Leonard

James, 33, agreed to sign with Los Angeles this past Sunday, infusing a fanbase eager for its next superstar.

Kawhi Leonard remains on the Spurs roster, and it will reportedly stay that way unless San Antonio gets a massive haul from any team looking to acquire the all-star forward.

If fans bought a Cavaliers LeBron jersey in the last 90 days, Fanatics has a Jersey Assurance program that enables consumers to exchange, free of charge, a James Cavaliers jersey for either a James Lakers jersey or a new jersey of a player on the Cavaliers. The stage was set for George, James, and Leonard to team up in Hollywood. James will join the Lakers on a four-year contract worth a total of $154million, according to a press release by Klutch Sports Group.

The deal also freed up cap room the Lakers to sign James in the offseason. Are they top end contenders to unseat Golden State with both James and Leonard in the mix?

According to Marks, the Lakers are now projected to have $23 million in cap space next summer. LeBron's second spell in Cleveland has ended after four years. On the other, the Lakers can use young players such as Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, and Kyle Kuzma. "Lakers with LeBron? You don't give my son the best player in the game and don't think he gonna win no championships". However, James chose the Lakers anyway.

Much like Los Angeles, Cleveland is also on the verge of a new era but if the wind of expectation has swept through California, the chilly gust of trepidation is slowly settling in Ohio.

There were really only two legitimate remaining competitors. The treasure trove of assets the Celtics took in from the ill-fated trade the Brooklyn Nets made with them five years ago for aging icons Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett allowed them to simultaneously compete while building for the future. Or, if he wants a move to the Eastern Conference, the 76ers are a potential landing spot.

Conversely, however, even if Gilbert wanted to chase a big-ticket free agent to partially offset the blow of losing LeBron, his task would be nearly impossible.

The Sixers already have two budding stars in Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons, but they don't quite have the same status as L.A. and Boston.
