Chelsea could also be in the market for a new No. 1 goalkeeper as Thibaut Courtois continues to be strongly linked with Real Madrid.

There are only 11 days left of the English transfer window and Real Madrid are well aware that they would need to allow Chelsea time to secure a replacement in order to get a deal over the line.

New Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is seeking talks with the goalkeeper, who wants a return to Madrid, where he spent two years on loan with Atletico Madrid earlier in his career.

But having only signed Pickford last summer, McBride doesn't think Everton will have any intention of letting him go.

Real Madrid have cooled their interested in Eden Hazard and are now looking at Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, according to AS (h/t Mirror).

The Brazilian had been the subject of interest from Manchester United and Barcelona in recent weeks.

However, the same story says that Chelsea FC are "determined" not to sell Hazard this summer and they feel that handing him the captain's armband at Stamford Bridge may help to convince him to stay at the club.

"My experience of English football is limited to understand what we can do this season, we have very young guys who we do not know how they will do, but I know their names will be heard frequently in the coming years".

Over the four seasons he has appeared between the posts for Chelsea, Courtois has made over 150 appearances and won the Golden Glove at the end of the 2016/17 season.
