This new version of the Fire TV Stick is also compatible with audio content in the Dolby Atmos surround-sound format.

The Fire TV Stick 4K is priced at $49.99 and will begin shipping in the United States and Canada on October 31.

The Dolby Vision support is also notable; Roku recently announced its own sub-$50 4K media streamers, the Roku Premiere and Premiere+, but they only support HDR content in HDR10 and not Dolby Vision.

It means you can leave your TV's remote safely in a coffee table drawer, rather than have to switch between it and the regular Alexa remote just to adjust the volume. And as before, you can use Alexa on the remote to search for and launch content, control smart home devices, and more.

Amazon debuted a slew of new products in September, including the so-called Fire TV Recast - an over-the-air DVR that connects to a standard TV antenna and allows users to stream local, free broadcasts on Fire TV devices.

In many ways, the Fire TV Stick 4K appears to cannibalize the other Fire TV streamers on the market. The new Alexa Voice remote, meanwhile, utilizes Bluetooth and multidirectional infrared technology and (finally) features dedicated power, volume and mute buttons. It's available here, it's cheaper than Roku's stick, and it supports both HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision - the first device to do so without ditching the stick-shape. The streaming device called Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K, as given in the name, supports 4K videos and is priced at Rs 5,999 along with the Alexa Voice Remote controller.

It features a new 1.7GHz processor, which is a faster chip than the 1.5GHz silicon in the 2017 Fire TV. As mentioned above, the remote is compatible with all Fire TV devices available in India.

The new Alexa Voice Remote looks great - I appreciate its use of buttons and analog directional pad. Orders will begin shipping on October 31 in the U.S. and Canada.
