The news comes as razor-thin margins heighten the possibility of recounts and court battles in the Sunshine State's races for Senate and governor.

Floridians have until 5 p.m. today to make sure any "provisional vote" they might have signed (due to mismatching signatures or IDs) is counted.

Gov. Rick Scott's Senate campaign is suing the Broward County elections supervisor to turn over records regarding how ballots are being counted.

In the governor's race, Democrat Andrew Gillum's campaign said Thursday it's readying for a possible recount.

The Florida Division of Elections shows Ron DeSantis now leading Andrew Gillum, 49.62 percent to 49.15 percent. DeSantis led Gillum by 0.47 percentage point as of Thursday afternoon.

Election Day was on Tuesday, but for races in a number of states, it's not over yet.

In 2000, Florida decided the presidency by a few hundred votes in a contest that took more than five weeks to sort out.
