She also said it was nothing like Hillary Clinton's use of a personal email server, something for which Trump's father-President Donald Trump-slammed the former Democratic presidential nominee.

The daughter of US President Donald Trump sent hundreds of emails about government business from a personal email account a year ago to White House aides, cabinet members and her assistant, according to the Washington Post. She said her missives were about "scheduling and logistics and managing the fact that I have a home life and a work life".

Trump acknowledged, "People who want to see it as the same (as Hillary Clinton's emails) see it as the same", but said that all of her emails were on the White House server and there was "no intent to circumvent" regulations for White House staff.

"So the idea of 'Lock her up!' doesn't apply to you?" At the mention of tear-gas, she victim-blamed the mothers and children for being at a location at which they would be tear-gassed, and tried to defend her father's violent stance before she was inconveniently confronted with the truth.

"All of my emails are stored and preserved".

Hillary Clinton once more dodged a question on Tuesday about whether she will run for United States president in 2020.

"There's no prohibition from using private email, as long as it's archived and as long as there's nothing in it that's classified", Trump told ABC News.

Meanwhile, Trump commented that she and her father have a good working relationship, even though they do not agree on all issues, because she is "incredibly candid with him".

The Clinton camp has claimed Comey's decision in October 2016 to announce he was re-opening the investigation, after emails were found on disgraced former Rep. Anthony Weiner's laptop, was a factor in Clinton's defeat.

'There is no restriction of using personal email, ' she said.

The Washington Post first reported that the first daughter and White House adviser had used a personal account for government business, sending hundreds of emails to White House aides, Cabinet officials and assistants. She also deleted about 31,000 emails after a congressional subpoena.

Additionally, she said, "I think it should reach its conclusion".
