Ariana Grande Pulls Out of Grammys 2019 | 2019 Grammys, Ariana Grande

It appears Ariana Grande is the latest star to decide to forgo this year's Grammy Awards, with the pop star reportedly declining to attend the ceremony after a disagreement with producers.

It has been claimed they then reached a compromise of a medley which would allow her to sing part of the new song, but after producers demanded to pick the second song, she put her foot down.

The whole thing is quite shocking since Grande is actually on the nominee list in two categories - Best Vocal Performance for God is a Woman and Best Pop Vocal Album for Sweetener.

Grande's decision is especially noteworthy given how the Grammys used her image on a series of promotional billboards across American cities. That album drops Friday, two days before the Grammys ceremony.

Rumor has it that the singer will no longer perform, or even attend the Grammys at all!

7 Rings was played a record 15 million times in its first 24 hours on the music streaming service Spotify.

The insider claims that producers suggested a medley performance instead, which Ariana is reported to have been on board with. Last year, the Recording Academy declined to let Lorde perform a particular song of her choosing, which didn't bode well for her participation.

Other artists set to perform include Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Miley Cyrus, Post Malone, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Shawn Mendes, Dua Lipa and Travis Scott, among others.

Alicia Keys will host the Grammy Awards scheduled to take place at Staples Center, Los Angeles.
