Eden Hazard to tell Chelsea he wants Real Madrid move

Posted February 08, 2019

This week, Hazard revealed that he has made a decision on his future and, with no apparent progess in contract talks between the Belgium global and the Premier League club, who are offering him 15.6m euros a year, speculation is rife that this could well mean he is heading to the Bernabéu at the end of the season.

The Telegraph add that Hazard is now expected to officially tell Chelsea of his wish to leave and join Real Madrid, after Real Madrid made their summer transfer plans clear. The interview was recorded two months ago as part of a documentary about his career, but it was only released this week and may colour the context of the guessing games that have continued to follow Hazard's every move. "I have decided", said the 28-year-old Belgian global.

"If he wants to go, he has to go", Sarri said last week.

Chelsea have offered him a new contract worth around £300,000 a week but Hazard seems resolute on his desire to play for Real.

According to The Mail, the Blues are said to value Hazard in excess of £100m but Los Blancos are hoping to reduce the valuation to some extent by proposing a part-exchange deal.

Should Real Madrid make a concrete move for the Belgian talisman in the summer, Chelsea will reportedly demand a fee in the region of £100 million. We will see. I don't want to talk about this every day. I have a year-and-a-half left on my contract, everyone knows. "I will wait for the right moment".
