Wells Fargo Outage: Website, App Down and Not Working, Gateway Error

"We apologize to our customers who may be experiencing an issue with our online banking and mobile app", the company posted on Twitter.

The bank apologized and said it was working to restore services. Some customers reported that their cards were declined while attempting a purchase, and some said they couldn't pay their bills on time because of the glitch.

Some users are now uploading pictures on Twitter regarding the messages that are displayed on their accounts when they try to enter. First Bank & Trust now owns 23,961 shares of the financial services provider's stock worth $1,104,000 after buying an additional 285 shares during the last quarter.

Earlier this month, Wells Fargo released it a business standards report titled "Learning from the past, transforming the future".

Wells Fargo & Co (NYSE:WFC) last issued its quarterly earnings results on Tuesday, January 15th. "U giving me my $45k earnest $ back?" one Twitter user wrote to Wells Fargo.

The website DownDetector.com showed reports of Wells Fargo access issues spreading across the entire continental US. The Lake Johanna, Minnesota Fire Department told CNBC that a "fire suppression system" was set off around 6 a.m. and was notified by the bank at 10 a.m.

"We want our customers to know that this is a contained issue affecting one of our facilities, and not due to any cybersecurity event".

Anthony Pompliano, Founder and Partner at Morgan Creek, said in a twee that Bitcoin never shuts down, after mentioning that Wells Fargo's system is shut down.
