The Sunrise Movement, an environmental activism group focused on young people, spent this week lobbying Senate and House offices to support the Green New Deal, leading up to a coordinated "day of action" Tuesday in congressional districts nationwide.

Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) had an unlikely dust-up Friday with a group of young children over climate change policy, CNN reported.

"Our planet is going to face disaster if we don't turn this ship around", she said. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) and a group of schoolchildren petitioning her to advocate for the "Green New Deal" went viral, drawing criticism and prompting a response from the senator.

She also claimed there was a "basic moral question" people had of how they can respond to climate change. As you read this, young people in Europe and the United States are organizing marches, walk-outs, and sit-ins to protest the way their governments are handling (or ignoring) climate change. "I know what I'm doing", Feinstein says. "If you don't like the #GreenNewDeal, then come up with your own ambitious, on-scale proposal to address the global climate crisis".

"And I'm just not here to listen to this ... belief that is not grounded in reality", she also warned, saying that "climate delayers are the new climate deniers". The "Green New Deal" was authored by freshman Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, (NY-14), and longtime global warming whacko Senator Ed Markey of MA, it calls for ridding the nation of fossil fuels in the next few decades, among other dramatic environmental and economic changes. Edward J. Markey (Mass.). I don't respond to that. Her comments on Friday line up with some of the more disdainful observations on the Green New Deal from the Democratic old guard. And I know what I'm doing.

A conservative group called the Job Creators Network placed a billboard in Times Square to call out Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for celebrating Amazon's decision not to build a new headquarters in New York City. "This idea that if we just, you know, 'I've been working on this for x amount of years, '" is "not good enough", she said.

Corrected after getting numbers wildly wrong on Pentagon waste, she complains of people being "more concerned about being precisely, factually and semantically correct than being morally right". I was elected by a million vote plurality. "'Cause you're not. So, until you do it, I'm the boss.' How about that?"

The kids told KPIX they are looking it over this weekend, and plan to pay Feinstein a visit again Monday to tell her directly how they feel about her resolution.
