Luke Perry suffers a massive stroke and is recovering in the hospital

As it's revealed, the stroke was massive and when paramedics came to his place, he was responsive and talk but his condition worsened while he was on his way to the hospital.

Luke Perry has been hospitalised after reportedly suffering a massive stroke, according to TMZ. "My friend. Holding you tight and giving you my strength".

Shannen Doherty, whose 90210 character, Brenda Walsh, dated Perry's, posted a photo of their characters on prom night.

Perry has been filming episodes of Riverdale which sees him play Archie's dad, Fred Andrews. Perry, who starred in the original '90s series, was not mentioned in the network's list of returning stars, but according to his former co-star, Tori Spelling, he may appear in a few episodes.

Perry's reps confirmed to Variety that the Riverdale star "is now under observation at the hospital".

Publicist Arnold Robinson said the actor is "currently under observation". The website now reports that Perry is "sedated".

Beverly Hills, 90210 star Ian Ziering shared a picture of himself and Perry embracing.

Arnold Robinson told the Associated Press that Luke Perry is now under observation but did not provide any additional information regarding his current status.

Meanwhile, cast members from Riverdale have also been posting about Luke's illness, including Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse. It followed the lives of a group of friends living in the upscale and star-studded community of Beverly Hills, California as they transition from high school to college and into the adult world. He stars as the late actor Wayne Maunder in Quentin Tarantino's upcoming film Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.
