Ban Ki-moon, Tony Blair grace Akash-Shloka's grand wedding

Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and Chairperson Nita Ambani's son Akash Ambani got married to Shloka Mehta over the weekend. The wedding festivities started days in advance and the entire Ambani family played the ideal host to a bevy of celebrities.

She looked stunning in a heavily embroidered lehenga completed with emerald jewellery.

Akash Ambani looked dapper in a soft pink intricately embroidered and sequinned sherwani, while the bride Shloka chose a traditional red for the D-Day. The wedding was held at the Jio World Centre in the Bandra-Kurla Complex.

Akash Ambani pays tribute to his late grandfather Dhirubhai Ambani.A musical fountain show at the newly-inaugurated Dhirubhai Ambani Square is also part of the festivities planned for the evening. From Bollywood A-listers, cricketers to eminent personalities from the world-all were seen making their presence felt at the grand Ambani bash. The special event was attended by the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Karan Johar, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Apart from Blair, the wedding is also expected to host former Ban Ki-Moon and his wife, Google CEO Sundar Pichai and his wife Anjali Pichai, and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and his wife Anjali.

The marriage was preceded by days of celebrations, which began with a "dandiya" night last month. Later, on March 06, 2019, the Anna Seva ceremony kicked-off the main pre-wedding celebrations, followed by mala, mehendi and sangeet ceremonies.

The venue has been converted into a floral extravaganza for the couple's big day.
