The Prodigy's Keith Flint Died of Hanging

An inquest into Keith Flint's death has found that the The Prodigy vocalist hanged himself at his home in Essex last week.

The 49-year-old was pronounced dead after officers were called to his home in Great Dunmow, Essex, amid concerns for the star's welfare.

The local coroner revealed "Police attended, all protocols were followed and his death was confirmed as not suspicious".

A post-mortem examination was carried out at Broomfield Hospital on March 7. The coroner's officer said today that this remains under investigation while toxicology reports are compiled. Flint died by suicide.

They wrote "The news is true, I can't believe I'm saying this but our brother Keith took his own life over the weekend, I'm shell shocked, f***in' angry, confused and heart broken".

Tributes were paid from around the entertainment industry following Flint's death at the age of 49.

The band, who were due to tour the United States in May, released their latest album in November and had recently been on tour in Australia.

Liam Howlett, a bandmate of Flint's, confirmed the news of his death on March 4 in an emotional Instagram post. "Thank you people for all the tributes, they have really touched us and kept us going this week", the post on their official account read.
